Summary judgment is a procedural device used by the courts to dispose of claims quickly. Before the trial, a judge will look at the facts of the case as determined by the pre-trial documents submitted to the court by both parties. If there is no question of fact and the application of the law clear, the judge will dissmiss the claim if it is without merit or if it has no possibiltiy of prevailing.

Here, the court determined that the plaintiff's claim is valid and the court enforces the contract between the parties without proceeding to trial.
