How to use this site
This web site contains a good bit of material on the nature of of law and its study. I wanted to create a resource that I could have understood my first day of law school. I wanted to create a resource that I could have used to minimize the learning curve of "how to go to law school." Also, I wanted to create a resource that would give you "the big picture," something you often hear about in law school but rarely see. Hopefully, this site will be a good review before fall exams, too. Maybe it will bring a lot pieces of the puzzle together for you.
Law School Confidential

Bounce around for a while, getting a feel for what law school is all about and what this site offers. You might want to read my personal account of first year law school. You should read the sections on politics and legal reasoning.

To get a feel for what's required of you in class, read the section on the Socratic Method, and explore the sample case tutorial. The case is factually interesting. Learn about reading, briefing, and outlining.

Finally, browse through the different classes to get a feel for the subject matter. There is a lot of material in there. Don't try to understand everything.

I was totally ignorant of almost everything on these pages when I went to law school. I hope this site dispels some of the stress and ignorance of those first few very hard months in law school. At the same time I hope my efforts aid you in achieving your goals and make law school a more rewarding challenge. A brief disclaimer. I have tried to make this site as accurate as possible. If you find errors PLEASE email me with corrections.
